Payment Policies

Payment Schedule - At registration, a 25% deposit for each participant is required to save the dates. One individual may make the full deposit for a group, and be credited later as others make payments.

60 days before the start date, the balance is due. If the balance is not received within 30 days before the start date, your reservation will be canceled and no refund will be issued.

For any reservations made less than 60 days before the start date, payment in full is required.

Date Changes - Simmons Mountain Works strives to offer flexibility, but may be limited by travel requirements, route conditions, and other reservations. Any requests to change the dates of an existing reservation must be made in writing, no later than 7 days before the start date. A change fee of $100 per participant, plus any changes in the guides travel costs, will be charged. Any reduction in costs due to the date change will not be refunded.

Cancelations - Cancelation of a reservation must be made in writing. The effective date is when Simmons Mountain Works receives the written notification. Amounts will be forfeited if no written notice is received. Cancellation will be refunded based on the following schedule:

Within 24 hours of initial deposit a full refund will be given.

More than 60 days before start date. A full refund minus the deposit will be given.

More than 30 days before start date. 50% refund of the full amount will be given.

Less than 30 days before start date. No refund will be given.

TRAVEL INSURANCE is strongly recommended! Most travel insurance policies require purchase within 21 days of program deposit.

If a guest cancels for any reason, Simmons Mountain Works is not responsible for expenses made in preparation for the trip. Any un-reimbursed trip expenses paid for through Simmons Mountain Works will be deducted from any refund.

No refunds are given for an early departure from a trip, nor is Simmons Mountain Works responsible for any additional expenses gained by the guest doing so.

Simmons Mountain Works reserves the right to change the advertised itinerary due to weather, avalanche, route conditions, or guests' abilities. No refunds will be given in event of this, and any additional costs will be charged to the guests.

If Simmons Mountain Works determine a trip must be canceled due to man-made or natural disaster, prohibitive weather or snow conditions, the clients will be offered to reschedule the trip within 6 months, plus any additional travel expenses for the guide. Simmons Mountain Works will not be responsible for any additional expenses gained by the guest. This rescheduling may be waived by a guest in order to collect travel insurance.

Simmons Mountain Works is not responsible for any search, rescue, evacuation, or medical treatment charges. Rescue and Medical Insurance is strongly recommended, and in some instances proof of medical or rescue insurance may be required.
