Registration & Payment Policies

1: Complete one registration form per person.

My insurance and emergency plan is through the Certified Guides Cooperative, a national non-profit. The information you provide will only be shared with the CGC and myself, and not with any other third parties without your expressed permission.

2: Release Form

A digital signed copy is preferred. Print, sign, scan or a clear photo with your smart phone and email to me.

3: Payment

After you fill out the registration, please watch your email inbox for an electronic invoice. You can pay through the invoice with a credit card, or by PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or check.

Payment Schedule

A $1000.00 deposit, or the entire amount if below $1000.00, for each participant is required to save the dates.

Any balance is due 60 days before the first day of the trip. If registration is made within 60 days, the full balance is due.

Changing Dates

Simmons Mountain Works strives to offer flexibility, but may be prevented by travel requirements, route conditions, and other reservations. Any requests need to be made by email more than 7 days before the start of the trip.

Cancelation must be by email. The effective date is when the notification is received. Amounts will be forfeited if no written notice is received.

If you cancel the reservation within 24 hours of the initial deposit, a full refund will be given. If cancelation is more than 60 days before the first day of a trip, a full refund will be given, minus a $100.00 administrative fee. If cancelation is more than 30 days but 60 days or less, 50% of the full amount invoiced will be refunded. If cancelation is 30 days or less, no refund will be given. If the balance is not paid in full more than 30 days before the start of the trip, Simmons Mountain Works will consider the reservation canceled and no refund will be given. Any refund will subtract any third party expenses not also refunded. Simmons Mountain Works is not responsible for any outside expenses made by you in preparation for your trip. No refunds will be given for any early departure from a trip, including any additional expenses for having done so.

Simmons Mountain Works reserves the right to cancel any trip for any reason, and you will receive a full refund. At times, weather or other factors may prevent an itinerary from being followed as advertised or itinerary goals from being met. No refund will be given because of this. Any additional expenses, including the guide's, as a result of any itinerary changes will be your responsibility.

Trip Insurance

Travel insurance is strongly recommended! Most travel insurance policies require purchase within a few weeks after you place your deposit. Travel Guard's Travel Guard Plus with Adventure Sports Coverage and Optional Cancel for Any Reason provision is very popular. Travel Ex's Travel Select plan with the Adventure Plus upgrade is an alternative. Neither has rescue or evacuation coverage as robust as Global Rescue below.

Rescue Insurance

Rescue insurance is also strongly recommended, and is required for any international trips. The American Alpine Club's membership includes an effective but limited policy from Global Rescue, and the opportunity to upgrade to various other plans at Global Rescue with a discounted rate.
