I’ve found these videos to be the most helpful when it comes to describing route finding strategies for backcountry skiing to guests, students and friends.
When I found these videos, I had a bit of a light-bulb moment of thinking, “Yes, its like this!” I don’t subscribe to everything spelled out here, but I do agree with much of it and think these three videos have some really useful information for incorporating into backcountry travel practices.
